As a child Melissa could be found on stage acting or dancing doing what seemed to come natural. Melissa danced for 10+ years wanting to be a ballerina until she was asked to be a guest host on a talk radio show and that is when she fell in love with radio.
In a few years Melissa Chambers perfected her skills and began teaching radio at the college level at The Ohio Center for Broadcasting while being a producer and on-air personality for Clear Channel and Blue Chip Broadcasting.
Melissa relocated back to Atlanta where she attended Clark-Atlanta University before transferring to The Ohio State University where she earned her BA in Communications with a double minor in Marketing & Theater. Since moving back to Atlanta, Melissa Chambers has had the opportunity to work with and act alongside of some of Hollywood’s best. She has earned numerous credits in feature films, television and independent projects.
Busy Melissa Chambers is currently working on two films simultaneously the first of which is “I Thought I Knew.”
“I Thought You Knew” addresses the consequences of making bad decisions. Deception within relationships; men on the down-low; the perils of cheating; and the dangers of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS).
More than just entertainment, “I Thought You Knew” is part of a serious effort dedicated to raising awareness about the life-altering affects of HIV and AIDS. The small community of friends in the film represents the larger community of cities, suburbs, and inner cities throughout America. The film also is inspired by the director’s father, who died from AIDS. The film is Directed by Nicole Alexander Dennison, and Director of photography Yahya Clinton. Leading man Bruce Blackshear and Melissa Chambers brings the film to life as they uncover the realism of poor sexual choices which results in detrimental effects on their health and well-being.
The Awe Inspiring Atlanta Rising star Melissa Chambers second film “Beautiful Scars” will be premiering the summer of 2017. Melissa plays the lead actress Channel Hynes with DJames Jones as leading man Apollo . The film is based on three couples who relationship and friendship are tested when illusional lust becomes more important than long time loyalty. The film is Directed and written by Princess Hawthorne, and Yahya Clinton as the Director of Photography.

Melissa Chambers has produced and held principle and supporting roles in several major and independent films. Recently she was the Head Judge for TLC’s newest hit series Little Miss Atlanta.
Melissa Chambers is no stranger to the stage when it comes to competing and performing. She began competing in beauty pageants at the age of 14 years old winning numerous titles, thousands of dollars in scholarship monies and cash prizes and her last theater tour was with Shelly Garrett’s famous play Beauty Shop where she co-stared with Johnny Gill and was the female lead, Brazil.
When Melissa Chambers isn’t expanding her businesses or perfecting her craft or performing she loves to give back by mentoring to young girls and providing resources to the homeless.
